Yala Peak Trek is a remarkable trip to the Langtang region which explores the trails close to the Nepal-Tibet border. The trip goes through the Langtang National Park and explores its remarkable biodiversity as well. Similarly, the trip offers sublime sights of the Himalayas like Langtang Lirung (7227m), Ganesh Himal (7224m), and Jugal Himal (6070m). The Tamang and Tibetan villages in the Langtang Valley offers an authentic lifestyle of the locals living there.
Before you start the official trip to the Yala Peak (5500m), you take a tour around the Kathmandu Valley and visit the world heritage sites. Beginning the trip, you head to Syabrubensi in a bus passing the Trishuli River valley. The next day, you start your official trek towards Lama Hotel through the rhododendron forests and the Langtang River. You head to Mundu via Langtang Village and then head to Kyanjin Gompa the following day. You trek to Tserko Ri (4984m) from Kyanjin to get panoramic views of the Himalayas and then return to Kyanjin.
Further, you trek to Yala Base Camp and train to climb and use various climbing tools. Finally, on the 7th day of the trip, you climb the summit of Yala Peak (5500m). The trail is moderately difficult and any physically fit person can get to the summit of the peak. After you complete the climb, you return to the base camp and head to Kyanjin Gompa. The next day, you retrace your way back to Lama Hotel via Mundu and Langtang village.
The trail bends towards Gosainkunda from Lama Hotel. You head to Thulo Syabru from Lama Hotel and the views of Himalayas start to fade. You head to Shin Gompa from Thulo Syabru and further trek to Gosainkunda. You explore the place and then head back to Dhunche the next day. Lastly, you drive to Kathmandu from Dhunche. Spring and autumn are the best seasons for this trek as the views are clear and the chances of rain are less. Also, the climate and weather are suitable for the trip during these seasons.
