Rara Lake Trek is a newly introduced trekking route in Nepal. This trek takes you to the solitude of the western part of Nepal where you can enjoy the wilderness and experience unique terrain. The trip starts taking a flight to Nepalgunj from Kathmandu-the capital city of Nepal and ends there. You will take a fight to Jumla from Nepalgunj before starting your actual trek.
Lying on the heart of Jumla district, nestled comfortably between the verdant vegetation at the height of 2990m; Rara Lake is the largest lake in Nepal. Jumla is a remote and underdeveloped area but has a flourishing culture and tradition. The trail to Rara is an ideal choice for adventure seekers but is rarely visited since it is not easily accessible. Easygoing Khas people, with amazing cultures are unique than the rest of Nepal, reside in these lively valleys. The primary occupation of these people is agriculture. They are friendly and welcoming. This region also hosts unique flora and fauna.
Rara Trek offers everything for tourists- the thrill of the exciting adventure in the wilderness, the steep gorge and the soft drenching fog flowing along the tracks. The narrow unusual path where sunlight slips through the bulky branches and dots the debris of leaves. Moreover, the trek also provided you with the tinkling calmness of the solitude, the freshness and purity of the air. The icy mists swirl around the neck of the mountains. Immaculate mirror-like stretch of water in Rara Lake glitter in the scintillating Sun rays. A profound sense of serenity and purity engulfs you as you gaze down the lake from the dizzying ledge.
Anybody with good physical fitness and good endurance capacity can go for this trek. Spring and autumn are the suitable seasons to embark on this trip. With our professional team, Nepal Peak Adventure is dedicated to offering you this fantastic opportunity to create a memory to cherish forever.
