Trip Overview

Rapid Annapurna Thorong La Pass is designed to address the necessity of those who want to experience the world-famous tourist destination despite their time limitations. However, shortening the trip does not mean that you will be deprived of experiencing any adventure in the Annapurna region. The trekking route takes you through the major tourist attraction in the region. You will get an opportunity to trek from low elevation to the higher level while enjoying the majestic mountains in the area. You will pass Manang district of Nepal which rich in different topography and diverse culture and traditions.

The region offers you picturesque views of oak, rhododendron forest and cascading numerous waterfalls takes you to the different world. The region is a habitat for various species of fauna. The trek covers the major destination in the region including Poon Hill (3210m) and Thorong-La-Pass (5416 m). The views from Poon Hill are panoramic.
The trek starts from a lower elevation to the highest point of the trek Thorong-La-Pass. The trail takes you to the Buddhist and Hindu kingdom. Chorten, Monasteries with prayer wheels and prayer flags take you to the world of tranquility. Besides natural beauty, you will witness the lifestyle of people of different tribes including Gurung, Thakali and Magar.

Anybody with good physical fitness can embark on this trek. Previous short trekking would be an advantage. There is a slim chance of Acute Mountain Sickness (AMS) as our experienced and professional team members take care of you the entire trek and respond to any difficulties promptly.

Hence, Rapid Annapurna Thorong-La-Pass Trek is a mixture of nature, tradition and unique alpine topography and it would be a trek of your life for sure.

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu (1400m) 

Day 02: Drive to  Bhulbhule (840m) 8 hour

Day 03: Trek to Jagat (1300m)

Day 04: Trek to Bagarchap (2160m)

Day 05: Trek to Chame (2670m)

Day 06: Trek to Pisang (3300m)

Day 07: Trek to Manang (3540m)

Day 08: Trek to Ledar (4200m)

Day 09: Trek to Thorong High Camp (4925m)

Day 10: Thorong High Camp to Muktinath (3760m) through Thorong La Pass (5416m)

Day 11: Trek to Jomsom (2720m)

Day 12: Drive to Pokhara (820m) and free day in Pokhara

Day 13: Drive Pokhara to Kathmandu (1400m)

Day 14: Depart Kathmandu


Cost Includes

Airport pick up and drop service in a private vehicle

Twin-sharing accommodation in Kathmandu ( 2 nights) and Pokhara ( 1 nights) at a three star standard hotel  that includes breakfast

Accommodation during the trekking in a teahouse/Lodge

Porters (one porter for every two trekkers) and his entire expenses (salary, food, accommodation equipment, and insurance)

Charges of all necessary documentation and permits that include a permit for Annapurna Conservation Area perm, Trekkers Information Management Systems (TIMS) Card 

Down jackets and sleeping bags (upon request), should be returned to the company after completion of the trek.

Dinner and Lunch in Kathmandu and Pokhara besides welcome and farewell dinner. 

Expenses for your clothing and personal gears 

Your personal gears and other expenses such as drinking water, soft beverages, laundry, hot drinking water on the trek, bar bills, showers, internet, and battery chargers.  

Your travel insurance that covers helicopter evacuation including medical expenses and trip cancellation 

Tipping to the guide, porter, and drivers 

Any other costs not itemized in the "Cost Includes" are your personal expenses.


You will arrive in the capital city of Nepal today. Our representative will receive and transfer you to your hotel from Tribhuwan International Airport in Kathmandu. We will meet you for the trek briefing on the time and location of our agreement. We will take you for a welcome dinner tonight. You will enjoy Nepali food with Nepali cultural program. Overnight in Pokhara.
About eight hours ride on a commuter bus from Kathmandu takes you to Bhulbhule . You will enjoy the views of the river, different vegetation and see the lifestyle of locals along the highway.
After breakfast, you will embark on the full trek. An under construction road leads you to Ngadi- a village with surrounding farm field and river. You will have a steep climb to reach Bahundanda. After passing some settlements like Syange, Hani Gaun with the view of mountains and river you will arrive in Jagat where you halt for the day.
Today, you will resume your trek on a downhill trek from Bagarchhap. The trail is full of excitement with beautiful waterfalls, narrow valley with ups and downs. You will pass Karte and Dharapani villages before arriving in today’s destination Bagarchap. Bagarchap welcomes you will flapping prayer flags with the beautiful view of mountain Annapurna II (7937m). Overnight at Bagarchap.
Following breakfast you will resume the trek, today you will have a walk mainly through Oak and rhododendron forest while experiencing gorge as you continue over the rocky trail. You would not miss the splendid view of Mount Annapurna II (7937m). After crossing a few settlements including Dhanakyu and Kotho before arriving in Chame-headquarter of Manang district.
A chorten gate and Mane wall bid you farewell from Pisang while you head to Thaleku and you will have a fantastic view of Lamjung Himal (6983m) on the route. Also, green farmland are other attraction of the way. After a while, you pass Bhartang, the trail with the towering rocky hill on your right along the Marsyangdi River which leads you to Bhratang. After crossing Dhukure pokhari, you will arrive in today’s destination Pisang in about an hour.
After a while you resume today’s trek, you will have a fantastic view of Mount Annapurna II (7937m). From Humde, you will have a look of Pisang peak and Mt. Annapurna III. Soon after you leave Hudme, you can have a Panoramic view including Annapurna IV, Annapurna III, Gangapurna, Pisang Peak (6091m) among others. After passing a small lake at Chindi and walking uphill, you will make your way to Manang. The features of Manang offers you Tibetan atmosphere.
Since we are ascending to higher altitude, you should do a gradual climb. Soon after you resume the trek, you will cross a rivulet and ascend to Marshyangdi valley crossing Tenki village. After Ghunsa, you will pass through Yak Kharka- literary means Yak pasture where you can enjoy the picturesque view of yaks and horses grazing in a meadow with sporadic vegetation. Mani walls welcome you in this unique alpine topography. After that, you will arrive in today’s destination Ledar.
After breakfast, you will resume the trek on a moderate trail that leads you to a suspension bridge. Then, you will ascend to Ledar village. After passing through high cliffs, you will reach to Thorong Phedi. This is the last village before Thorong La Pass that offers views of different mountains. You will stay at High Camp.
Today is going to be an essential and adventurous day of your life. The pass is not only famous among the trekkers, but it is a regular route for the local traders. You will ascend gently, and the Rocky Mountains block the views for sometimes. The path on the steep ridge and the windy path leads you to the destination of your dream Thorong La Pass (5416 m). You will climb down to Muktinath via Charabu. Overnight at Muktinath.
Following breakfast, you will descend to Kaligandaki River before making your way to Jomsom through a valley. You will not miss the splendid view of Mount Nilgiri and Mount Dhaulagiri (8167m). You will arrive in today’s destination Jomsom. You can roam around this lively town with Buddhist influence in the evening.
You can explore the beautiful lake city Pokhara the rest of the day today.
Today, you will drive to Kathmandu on a tourist bus. On board, you will see hills, rivers, villages and the life alongside the highway. You will reach Kathmandu in the late afternoon. We will transfer you to your hotel. We will offer you a farewell dinner tonight.
Unless you prolong your trip to Nepal, today is the last day of your journey to Nepal for this time. We will transfer you to the Tribhuwan International Airport for your final departure from Kathmandu.
