Manaslu Circuit Trek

Trip Overview

Needless to say that Manaslu Circuit Trek is for real adventure seekers. This trekking region is an undisturbed and undistorted place that takes you to the western central part of Nepal. The Trek is crafted in such a way that it offers you diverse characters of the region. Away from the mechanical world, you will enjoy the true wilderness while walking through the secluded alpine woods when the towering mountain peaks are looking at you.

You will not only have the view of Mt. Manaslu (8156m) – the eighth highest mountain in the world- but also you will be welcomed by other peaks in the region such as Nagdi Chuli and Himal Chuli. And yes, you will not miss the famous pass in the region-Lyarka La Pass. You can enjoy various species of vegetation including rhododendron, and juniper including other medicinal herbs, and aromatic plants while on the trek.

The region is also home to various endangered species of wildlife such as Musk Deer, Snow Leopard, and Himalayan Thar among others. Besides, you will learn the way of local lives including the Gurung who is dominant in the region and famous for their hospitality. You might love to see the way of life of people of other ethnicities in the trekking region.

The trekking package, which starts from Sotikhola and ends at Syange, is designed practically allocating time for acclimatization to the trekkers; and offering them comfortable walking hours. The accommodations and meals on the treks are excellent and hygienic. However, you should note that you have to stay in tents in some places as tea houses are not available throughout the route.

Unlike Everest and Annapurna Trek which are packed with trekkers, Manaslu Circuit Trek is less crowded throughout the trail. You can enjoy the trek without having to worry about noise and disturbance from others.

Permits for Manaslu Circuit Trek

The Manaslu trek is a restricted region. You need a special permit in addition to the regular trekking permit and a guide to doing the trek. The three different permits you need are Manaslu Restricted Area Permit (RAP), Manaslu Conservation Area Project (MCAP), and Annapurna Conservation Area Project (ACAP).

Remember, you cannot issue the special permit by yourself meaning only a licensed trekking agency can issue it due to its restricted status.

Best time for Manaslu Circuit Trek

The Manaslu Circuit trek is possible throughout the year. However, the spring and autumn seasons are the best time to go for this trek.

If you choose to travel in Spring (March-May), blooming rhododendron flowers mesmerize and welcome you. The temperature is neither cold nor hot. The view of snow-capped mountains under the blue sky along with the vibrant colors of blooming flowers and nature is sure to keep your heart fluttering.

Autumn (Oct-Dec) is the best season for trekking in Nepal. The skies are crystal clear and the weather is pleasant. You will be blessed with greenery everywhere, rice and paddy field along the way, cascading waterfall, and awe-inspiring mountain views. There is very little chance of getting rainfall making the trails dry and easy for hiking. Also, autumn is a festive season and you will be able to explore and experience the Nepali culture and tradition closely.

So do not delay to book a trip that associates you with true nature since a trustworthy travel companion like us is with you.
