Langtang Valley Gosaikunda Trek is a famous off-the-beaten trek in Nepal. Unlike the Everest and Annapurna region, it is not a well-worn path. The trekking area lies in the northern part from Kathmandu- the capital city of Nepal. The trekking route is crafted in such a way that it enriches your experience with mountain views, other natural beauties; and local traditions. Besides some parts of the trekking route falls under Langtang Conservation Area which is a habitat of various endangered wild lives. This route is best for those who want to experience mountains, lakes, glaciers along with the local Tamang culture. Moreover, numerous terraced farm field offers you a picturesque view on the route.
This trekking route offers you the magnificent view of various mountains including Mountain Lirung (7227m), Mount Dorje Lhakpa (6966m), Yala Peak (5520m) including others. Langtang is a district of the glacier. Besides, you will feel holy when you reach Gosaikunda Lake, a sacred lake, where thousands of Hindus throng every year. The pristine turquoise water lake and the high altitude topography around the lake make you feel that you are in a different planet.
Langtang region was adversely affected by the earthquake in 2015; however, now it has been opened for the trekkers. The local denizens especially Tamang tribe, who are rich in their culture and famous for hospitality, are eager to welcome you in this region. The village of beautifully constructed houses with stone and wood are the other attraction of the trek.
