Kanchenjunga Base Camp Trek is for the adventure seekers that takes you to the off-the-beaten trekking route in Nepal. The trekking route leads you to the northeast part of Nepal. Kanchenjunga Base Camp trek has a lot to offer you. It takes you to the wilderness of pristine high-land when you enjoy the beautiful views of snow-capped mountains. The region you will be traveling is a home for the people of various ethnicities. The trek takes you through Kanchenjunga Conservation Area that houses varies species of wild animals.
Kanchenjunga Base Camp Trek starts with the flight to Bhadrapur- an old city in eastern plane of Nepal. You will have a long drive to Taplejung district where your actual trek begins. You will be pleased to know that you are heading to the base camp of the world’s third highest mountain Mt. Kanchenjunga (8586m). Besides, it offers you magnificent views of other snow-capped mountains. Also, the trekking route comprises alpine lakes, pastures, forest, and waterfalls. Kanchenjunga Conservation Area is home for varies species wild animals such as Red Panda, snow leopard, Asian Black Bear including others.
The area is a home of various ethnicities of Nepal such as Sherpa, Limbu, Rai including others. You will have a glimpse of the culture and traditions of these ethnicities during the trek.
Primarily, September to November and March to May are considered to be the good months for trekking in the Kanchenjunga region. Anybody who loves to trek in a secluded route and wants to have the blend of experiences can go for this trek. However, as it is a difficult region trek you must have strong will power and prior hiking experience to complete this trek. Day 04: Trek to Lalikharka (2265m) - 4 /5 hour
Day 05: Trek to Khesewa (2120m) - 5/6 hour
Day 06: Trek to Mamankhe (1785m) – 5/6 hour
Day 07: Trek to Yamphudin (2080m) - 4/5 hour
Day 08: Trek to Tortong (2995m) – 7/8 hour
Day 09: Trek to Cheram (3870m) - 2/3 hour
Day 10: Acclimatization and rest day at Cheram (3870m)
Day 11: Trek to Ramche (4580m) - 3 /4 hour
Day 12: Trek to Yalung Base Camp (4500m), back to Cheram – 3/4 hour
Day 13: Trek to Sele La (4290m) - 6 /7 hour
Day 14: Trek to Ghunsa (3595) – 2/3 hour
Day 15: Trek to Kambachen (4050m) – 5/6 hour
Day 16: Trek to Lhonak (4780m) – 5/6 hour
Day 17: Trek to Kanchenjunga base camp, overnight at Pangpema (5143m) – 6/7 hour
Day 18: Trek to Lhonak (4780m) - 3/4 hour
Day 19: Trek to Ghunsa (3475m) - 6 /7 hour
Day 20: Trek to Amjilosa (2308m) – 5/6 hour
Day 21: Trek to Chirwa (1270m) – 6/7 hour

Twin-sharing accommodation in Kathmandu
Accommodation during the trekking in a teahouse/Lodge and also in a tent as it’s a remote region treks and teahouses are not available in all the places of the trekking route
All three meals on the trek (breakfast, lunch, dinner), fruits after dinner and tea/coffee (3 times a day)
Round trip airfare to and from Bhadrapur and all the fares of domestic transportation pertaining to the trek
Government certified English speaking trekking guide
The entire cost of the staff members involved in the trek (their salary, insurance, equipment, food, and accommodation)
Porters (one porter for every two trekkers) and his entire expenses (salary, food, accommodation equipment, and insurance)
Charges of all necessary documentation and permits that include a permit for Kanchenjunga Restricted Area, the Kanchenjunga Conservation Area Permit
Down jackets and sleeping bags (upon request), should be returned to the company after completion of the trek.
