During your brief stay in Bhutan, you will come across beautiful landscapes in Paro and Thimphu. We will take you to historically essential monasteries of the country namely Cheri Monastery, Trashichhoedzong, and Taktshang Monastery. You will also taste varied Bhutanese cuisine which is famous for its spices all over the world. Apart from a new taste in food, you will come across the lifestyle of local people of this country. Although this country is open to modern ideas, the government still lays strong emphasis on promotion and preservation of its cultural heritage and traditional beliefs.

Day 1: Arrival at Paro (2250m) in Bhutan and drive to Thimphu (2300m) -1 hour 15-minute drive
Day 2: Sightseeing in Thimphu (2300m)
Day 3: Drive to Punakha (1242m) and return to Thimphu for a night stay- a 4-hour drive
Day 4: Drive to Paro (2250m) - 1-hour 15-minute drive
Day 5: Day visit at Tiger’s Nest and overnight at Paro – Round trip drive 40 Minutes and 3/4 hour hike

Flight to Paro provides you spectacular mountain views. Upon your arrival, our representative will drive you to Thimphu for the night stay. During the ride, you will come across Chuzom, the confluence of Thimphu and Paro rivers, Tschogang Lhakhang, a private monastery situated on the base of the mountain. Upon arrival at Thimphu, we check in at a hotel with welcome drinks.
After breakfast, we will leave for the National Library, the repository of Bhutan’s history and culture. We will also visit National Institute for Zorig Chusum, to observe traditional Bhutanese artwork. Moreover, we will cover Cheri Monastery, Clock Tower Square and King's Memorial Chorten that are gateways to the dynamic religious and cultural heritage of Bhutan. We will end our day with a visit to Trashichhoedzong.
Upon breakfast, we will visit Dochu La Pass (3050 m) on the way to Punakha to get a breathtaking view of Himalayas. Next, we stop over at Lobusa for a short hike to Chimi Lhakhang Temple, famous for infertile women to get blessings for a child. We will then visit Punakha Dzong, Palace of Great Happiness before returning to Thimphu.
After check out from Thimphu, we drive to Paro. We detour Rinpung Dzong, the fortress of the heap of jewels which has a fascinating history. We will also visit Drukgyel Dzong, a ruined fort, in which Bhutanese warriors had fought with Tibetan invaders centuries ago. With the glance of the traditional lifestyle of people on the way, we will reach Paro.
After a brief drive, we will hike to Taktshang Monastery, Bhutan’s famous monastery, situated at a cliff of 900m above the Paro valley. History goes on to say that Guru Rinpoche arrived in this place on the back of a tigress to meditate in this monastery, so this place is called ‘Tiger’s Nest.’ Overnight at Paro.
Unless you prolong your Bhutan trip, this is your final day in Bhutan. Our representative will assist you in check out from the hotel and transfer you to Paro airport for your final departure as per your international flight schedule.
