The Annapurna Panorama Trek is one of the most popular off-beaten trekking journeys in Western Nepal. This trek offers you great views of the Annapurna ranges, along with many other glorious Himalayas. You also get to visit the traditional Gurung and Magar villages during the trek and observe their unique lifestyle and culture. Also, you visit the heritage sites in the Kathmandu valley. The trails in this trek are smooth and less strenuous, so this trek is favorable for most age groups.
Firstly, you’ll be picked up at the airport and will be transferred to the hotel. Next day, you will visit the heritage sites in Kathmandu, like the Pashupatinath, the Swayambhunath, the Boudhanath, and Durbar Square. Your actual journey begins with a scenic drive to Pokhara.
From Pokhara, you will drive to Phedi and then start your trek to Pothana, which leads you to Ghandruk. You will get magnificent views of Annapurna, Hiunchuli and Machhapuchhre Peaks. In Ghandruk, you will get to meet the local Gurung people and try their cuisine. Next, you will head to Tadapani through rhododendron and pine forests with nice views of the Himalayas.
Further, you will head to Ghorepani via Deurali, with gradual ups and downs. Most of the whole trek goes through rhododendron, pine and oak forests. The Himalayas will also provide you some company to make the trek more amazing. Next day, early morning, you’ll hike to Poon Hill to view stunning sunrise and have glimpses of the amazing snowcapped mountains. The Dhaulagiri Ranges, the Tukuche Peak, Machhapuchhre, Nilgiri, Annapurna Ranges, Lamjung Himal, and many other Himalayas are seen from the top of Poon Hill.
Afterward, you descend to Ghorepani, have breakfast and head to Tatopani to enjoy the hot spring after days of the trek. Then, you head to Galeshwor from where you’ll drive to Pokhara the next day. Lastly, from Pokhara, you’ll drive back to Kathmandu where the journey ends. March-June and September-December is the best time for the trek as the views are clear and the climate is favorable too.

You’ll arrive at Tribhuvan International Airport where our company representative will receive you. Then, you will drive to our hotel and meet with the tour guide. You’ll get a brief orientation about the trek from the tour guide. You can prepare for the tour and go shopping if you need anything for the trek. Overnights stay in Kathmandu.
There are many heritage sites in Kathmandu valley that you can visit and this day is dedicated to Kathmandu sightseeing. You’ll visit Pashupatinath, Boudhanath, and Swayambhunath which are the most famous Pilgrimage sites. Also, you can visit Durbar Squares in Kathmandu, Patan, and Bhaktapur. You get to try various Newari cuisines in Kathmandu valley. You can also try Thakali cuisines if you are interested. Overnights stay in Kathmandu.
Your actual journey begins with a scenic drive to Pokhara from Kathmandu. Slowly, you'll leave the crowded city area and start with open hills. You can get views of beautiful landscapes that include green hills, rivers, and glimpses of Himalayas of Western Nepal. As you head near Pokhara, the Himalayas seem to be closer and more beautiful. Overnights stay in Pokhara.
Next day, you leave Pokhara and drive to Phedi. The drive is smooth and gives you nice and beautiful views of hills and mountains. Phedi is the point from where you start your trek and head to Pothana. You start with a steep climb up to Dhampus and then the trail gets gradually uphill towards Pothana. There is an Australian Camp which you can see as you reach Pothana. Overnights stay in Pothana.
From Pothana, you’ll head to beautiful traditional Gurung village, Ghandruk. You start with gradual ascend through forests of pine, oaks, and rhododendron to reach Deurali. You get nice views of Manaslu, Mardi Himal and Annapurna ranges on the route to Ghandruk. You descend a bit to reach Tolkha leading to Landruk village. Further, you descend little more to reach Modi River and crossing the bridge, you ascend towards Ghandruk. You get nice views of the Annapurna South (7229m), Hiunchuli (6441m), Annapurna III (7755m) and Machhapuchhre (6997m) from Ghandruk. Overnights stay in Ghandruk.
After watching the mesmerizing sunrise early morning, you leave Ghandruk and head to your next destination, Tadapani. This day’s trek is easy as the trail is rather smooth with gradual ascending. While on this trek, you'll see the beautiful Himalayas along with many wild animals and birds. You walk through rhododendron and pine forests for the most of this trek. As you reach Tadapani, you’ll notice some tea houses where you can rest. Overnights stay in Tadapani.
You start with a steep descend towards Banthali from Tadapani. Then, you ascend gradually with some flat trails to reach the top of Deurali. Most of the trail is covered by forests of oaks, pines, and rhododendrons. After resting for some time in Deurali, you descend through the forests to reach Ghorepani. You get in a lodge and prepare for the next day’s hike to Poon Hill. Overnights stay in Ghorepani.
Early morning at around 4:30, you head towards Poon Hill. The hike takes around 1 hour and after you reach the top of Poon Hill, you’ll view the sunrise emerging from the majestic Himalayas. You’ll see many snowcapped mountains like Mt. Dhaulagiri (8167m), Tukuche Peak (6920m), Nilgiri (6940m), Mt. Annapurna I (8091m), Annapurna South (7219m), Annapurna II (7937m), Annapurna III (7855m), Annapurna IV (7525m), Machhapuchhre (6993m), Lamjung Himal (6931m) and more. Then, you’ll return to Ghorepani for breakfast. Further, you’ll trek towards Tatopani from Ghorepani, descending steeply to Ghare Khola. You get to enjoy the hot spring in Tatopani which is the main attraction of Tatopani. Overnights stay in Tatopani.
Next day, as a return journey, you trek down to Galeshwor Beni. You walk on nice and smooth trails with small settlements on the way. The trail lies in forests, and as you reach Galeshwor, the trail goes along the river. You visit the Galeshwor temple which is a very famous temple of Lord Shiva. Overnights stay in Galeshwor Beni.
Next day, you drive back to Pokhara via Pokhara-Baglung highway from Galeshwor Beni. After a short drive, you’ll reach Baglung and then Kushma. Finally, passing Dhampus, you reach Pokhara. If you have enough time, you can visit Davis falls, Mahendra cave, World Peace Pagoda and other places in Pokhara city. Besides, you can relax on the lakeside of Phewa Lake in the evening. Overnights stay in Pokhara.
Lastly, you return to Kathmandu from Pokhara. Early morning, you can visit Sarangkot to view the beautiful sunrise climbing through Annapurna ranges and Machhapuchhre. You’ll then drive through the Prithivi Highway to Kathmandu. You’ll leave the landscapes with rivers and then hills and enter the city of Kathmandu. You’ll reach the hotel and take rest. You’ll have a farewell dinner and prepare for your departure. Overnights stay in Kathmandu.
